Refund Policy

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for bookings made through Qimbl. Since the host is the merchant of record for all transactions, refund eligibility is primarily governed by the cancellation policy set by each host on their listing. Qimbl facilitates the refund process on the host's behalf.

2. Host Cancellation Policies

Each listing on Qimbl displays the host's cancellation policy before you confirm a booking. Common cancellation tiers include:

  • Flexible: Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before check-in.
  • Moderate: Full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in.
  • Strict: 50% refund if cancelled at least 7 days before check-in. No refund thereafter.
  • Non-refundable: No refund after booking confirmation.

3. Qimbl Service Fee

Qimbl's service fee is generally non-refundable. However, the service fee may be refunded in the following circumstances:

  • The host cancels the booking.
  • Qimbl determines that the listing was materially misrepresented.
  • A qualifying issue arises under our Extenuating Circumstances policy.

4. Extenuating Circumstances

Qimbl may override a host's cancellation policy and issue a full refund in cases of documented extenuating circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Government-imposed travel restrictions or natural disasters affecting the destination.
  • Serious illness or injury to the guest or a member of their immediate family, supported by medical documentation.
  • Death of the guest or a member of their immediate family.

5. Property Issues

If you arrive at a property and it is materially different from what was described in the listing, or if there is a significant issue that the host cannot resolve within a reasonable time, you may be eligible for a partial or full refund. To qualify:

  • Report the issue to Qimbl within 24 hours of check-in.
  • Provide photos or other documentation of the issue.
  • Allow the host a reasonable opportunity to resolve the problem before requesting a refund.

6. Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your payment provider:

  • Credit/Debit cards: 5–10 business days.
  • Bank transfers: 5–15 business days.
  • Digital wallets: 1–5 business days.
